Frequently Asked Questions:

 How are the rabbits euthanized?
We euthanize our animals by cervical dislocation.  This is a humane and painless method of euthanasia for the animal. The most humane treatment of these animals is very important to us.

How do you ship the products?
We will ship in insulated Styrofoam boxes with dry ice.

How will my product arrive?
This depends on the length of shipment. Your product will typically arrive frozen, but with most, if not all, of the dry ice gone. If your product arrives and it is thawed, but still cool, it is safe to use immediately or re-freeze.

How long are frozen products good for?
Frozen products are good for at least 1 year. Thawed products stored in the refrigerator are good for 2-3 days.

Is there a minimum order?
We recommend a shipment of at least 10 pounds.  Any less will thaw quickly, even with dry ice. We will accommodate any order, but keep in mind a small shipment still has significant shipping charges.

Is there a maximum order?
Email us for availability, we can accommodate large orders (our last "big" order was 700lbs.)  We need slightly more notice for these kind of shipments because we order custom made shipping boxes.

Will you do custom orders?
We prefer to sell "whole" rabbit feeders. Email us if your pet has more specific needs.

Do you offer ground rabbit?
Not at this time.  Email us if that is something you would like to see on our product list in the future.

How much is shipping?
Shipping depends on your location, and how fast you need the product.  And the total weight, of course. We will estimate the amount of dry ice we will need for packaging, as well as the weight of the box in our quote.  We ship UPS ground on most orders. We will use trucking companies for very large orders. Please check out our "Shipping and Ordering" Page for more details on shipping.

Will you work with co-ops?
Of course!  Email with details of the shipping location, and type of product you are looking for. The best way to get a LARGE order, is one BIG box, ground shipment through a carrier. Email for a quote.

Do you deliver?
We typically do not deliver, BUT we do travel throughout NY for other hobbies and can deliver to any of those locations.  If you are in NY, email me for a list of our appearances across NY! These deliveries will ONLY be made to orders that are paid in full before we leave the farm.

Do you allow farm pick-ups (customers in NY)?
Yes, and you can pay ahead of time, or pay CASH in person. No personal checks, please. Pick-ups are by appointment only.

Can you give me medical advise about my animal?
No, please don't ask. Contact your vet.

Do you accept returns?
No, due to the perishable nature of our product, we cannot accept returns.
 
Do you guarantee the product to arrive frozen?
No, but we pack with every expectation that the product will arrive at least cold, and be useable. Shipping transit times are a choice of the customer. I will make recommendations on my quote of how to ship.  If an issue happens with your shipment, by fault of UPS, it is up to YOU to make a claim and get reimbursed. All boxes are guaranteed for up to $100 each through UPS (which will probably cover a replacement shipment, plus the shipping fees you are out).
